Haitian Relief Organization
The HRO was founded in 2004 around the time of the massive flooding in Gonaives Haiti. Our current mission is simple: Help those that are most vulnerable in Haiti and Dominican Republic while focusing on specific projects to improve the quality of life.
We plan on fulfilling our mission by setting specific, measurable, step by step goals that can be attained:
• First and foremost, our relief efforts go towards specific projects (e.g. Orphanage & school adoption projects), rather than broad funds• Second, we maintain both local and international contacts in order to monitor ongoing progress• Third, our time and efforts go towards local projects which are easily maintained and documented. These smaller, more specific projects give a more personal feel to the organization and encourage cooperation of both local Haitian communities and those abroad.About the Organization
